I do really enjoy hearing about Bellsouth screwing over its customer base. And as long as they have customers, the customers deserve it. I encourage EVERYONE to drop Bellsouth! I even draw up a local plan for someone if they are the least littlest bit interested. I cannot stand that company and/or the new parent company AT&T.
I will consistantly work toward their demise.

What is it with some people?

Because of some of the things I've done in my past I'd say that I'm a little more aware than most folks about certain things. Perception can be a bitch!

There was once this fella that enjoyed the "high" life. He stopped for a reason or two. He used to enjoy it with some buds. One of the buds that used to hang out with him continues to enjoy the "high" life (just not with the guy that stopped). So, you'd think that because these two guys hung out with each and done other things that they might still continue to be a on a different level than most folks but, that is not the case. I mean I guess it is. I guess its more like a classic case. Anyway, these guys still have a professsional place they both go. The one guy, talks bad about the other guy now, the guy that stopped living the way he was. As if they were never friends and used to hang out and do stuff. I was very disappointed to hear the one guy talking so bad about the other guy. Especially after I knew how much of good buds they were with one another when they both enjoyed the "high" life. But...check this out, of course the one guy NEVER says anything to the other guy to his face, he says crap about him behind his back. Then, knowing the guy that stopped is still a good guy, asks favors from him and, of course, knowing the other guys is a good guy, he knows he'll get the favors he asked for. I seen a perfect example of it the other day. The guys house broke and he knew the other guy was good with repairs on homes and he knew the other guys had all the tools and he asked for help from the other guy. Well, of course the other guy (the one who stopped) obliged him happily and helped him with his home repairs. The very next day the other guy (the one who still enjoys) was bad mouthing the hell out of the good guy about how he doesn't do this or do that...blah blah blah...just steadily disgracing the good guy. I should have said something. but the bad guy is in a position that could screw things up for me so I didn't say anything. In my past I would have said something regardless because that is just the way that I am/was but, now I have to look out for me and my son.

Of course I still connect to IRC and idle there and to my amazement, in my logs I see where the soon-to-be X had connected. She only stayed for a minute but...what the heck is she joining IRC and going to our channel for? She isn't very stealthy about some things, matter fact, she's quite transparent. I just wonder what she has up her sleeve as she never got right to the point. She always diverted attention until she found an easy way to attain the goal without confrontation.
I sent her an email aasking what she wanted (because I'm sure she wants something) and to give me an address that I can send the divorce papers to. She didn't respond as of this morning...
I hope she didn't want to "just talk" because I don't love her anymore and she damn sure made sure that we weren't going to be friends (at tax time). Hopefully she was trying to look me up to deliver divorce papers to me...wouldn't that be great! Hmm...her pay for it? doubt it...not unless she found another idiot that would pay for it for her.

I lived my life for three things. A wife, a kid, and a family. She helped me to not have two of those. I'll never forgive her for that. She had ill intent from the get go and I was blinded by love to see it. Silly me...

MUST BE MONDAY!! (on Tuesday)

Last Thursday we were notified that a section of training would be hitting the web for coursework instead of using what we had locally and to be prepared Tuesday for the event. I didn't like the whole idea because it seems like just another nail in the coffin for our contract but, of course I (and we) have no say so about the situation so we have to deal with it. However, we did advise against it and of course, Monday morning comes along and we have several network related issues preventing the pilot program from working. First, they couldn't resolve the name of the proxy server to navigate because the proxy server was down, they got the proxy server back up and then we discovered that the internal DNS servers were not resolving. I called those that were in charge and they asked me to check on their stuff and lo and behold their stuff was indeed mucked up. Those in charge stated that our internal DNS servers weren't even in their list of authorised servers so that in and of itself is an issue as we can't pull records from the authoratative server. I logged into their DNS servers to try and stop and start the service but of course I could not... "You do not have sufficient rights to perform the operation..."
Just goes to show, try to take something good and make it better by removing a part of the machine and the next thing you know the cogs do not fit well. Bah...random thoughts...
